Grianstad an gheimhridh*

Skyline obscured by a rogue wave- the tide was coming in fast, I was also joined by this this fellow again. He's very quick off the mark and hurtles down from his lofty bungalow to join anyone on the beach. 
A rather nice day weather-wise. Himself went off to battle with the crowds and get the last supplies and I did the cleaning - well most of it, hoovering tomorrow. Then we went off for a walk including the traditional visit to the stone circle for the Solstice where there were two dodgy characters lounging on the stones.
First man in tomorrow. Will should hopefully be arriving in the afternoon. No flights to Cork from Bristol since Covid so he has to get a coach to Heathrow, flight to Cork and then a two hour back to us - marginally easier than going Bristol to Dublin. Actually a lot easier.

And the place to be is Newgrange - access into the chamber only by tickets in a lottery and today was the first time people were allowed to gather for the Solstice  since the pandemic. There was drumming and digeridoos and just enough sun,
