A bit of playing around with settings when I realised I hadn't got a blip and it was pouring outside (so I gave a run a miss).
Before the rain I got a few jobs and the shopping done and called the gas service people as there was an intermittant, funny smell in the utility/kitchen area. They came to look late afternoon and the boiler's okay so we're now trying to track down the source. It is possibly the microwave or its socket so we hope we can pinpoint it tomorrow and take appropriate action.
This evening we went to son's to deliver Christmas and birthday presents (a grandson is 8 tomorrow) and a short chat. Still raining
