Standing in line at the supermarket, I always look out at the water and wonder why the windows are tinted grey ... It's like they don't want the staff to know that they're missing anything nice by being there.

Even though today was a grey day, it was still nicer without the window between me and the wind and the rain and the water.

I stood by the river for a minute before getting back in the car. It looked deep and dark and cold. I was glad to be still, enjoying the silence, as next week is set to be manic.
