What's the story?

I hope all had a good Christmas, it is good to get the camera out again for a walk.  I have photographed this scene a few times before, but never on Blipfoto.  We are told that a good picture should tell a story, so what does this image tell you?  Feel free to comment on this aspect.  I of course know the story which is what led me to take the image, it was taken in my home village of Ballygowan.
