Monopoly and Mary Poppins

A lazier day for us, with more board games....well actually one board game. Cambridge Monopoly. Started late morning and eventually wound up when 2 of the players were made bankrupt, and the rest of us had had enough! Mollie was a worthy winner and I came in second. It made a change getting to a point where we had filled our properties with houses and then hotels.

While we were playing games, Henry was working on his new rubiks cube. I had seen it laying about looking part done but eventually he completed it, and has since mixed it up and done it again. Some of the moves he said are more complicated than the 3 x 3 cube, but some are just the same. I'm looking forward to having a go myself, but I need to remind myself of the easier one first!

Of course, we caught a bit of several films (not seen anything from start to finish yet) including Mary Poppins, Jurassic World 2 and Frozen. All good background films while game playing. And we have just started a game of Trivial Pursuits...very dated questions, but a bit of fun to test us.

Tomorrow we head to Cambridge for the Gibbs family gathering.....more food, more drink, and more games!
