Who's a lucky girl then?

Spent the morning preparing the festive dining table, the veggie main course and all the vegetables for the family Christmas dinner (the meal was, as last year, a team effort -  the advantage of us all living so very close to each other - Charlie made roasted veggies and bro cooked the Turkey). We proceeded to spend the day creating the kind of family chaos that seven folk on Christmas Day can generate - followed by mandatory playing with gifts received which is why in the photo everyone except Maddy is in the dining room watching Jonathan play us all (and win), one after another, at chess with his new set and competition clock, whilst Maddy got on with the sewing craft gift she'd got from William. I was too busy to get the chance to ride my beautiful bicycle - a gift which everyone, surely, has at some time received from "Father Christmas" (for me, in the guise of my bro) - though not usually when they are retired !!!

After a day creating jolly bedlam here, we spent the evening at Charlie's playing board games and having Christmas tea, bringing this wonderful Christmas Day to a close.  I hope your day was as lovely and festive as mine :).

Merry Christmas
