Secret conversation

We spent the afternoon at a Blip meet along with Biker Bear, Velofor, Swampey, Tigger101 and Mr T. The venue was Barnwell Country Park near Oundle. Despite the drizzly weather, a good time was had by all. It was nice to finally put a face to people and to get to know them all a little bit better.

My wife had to finish some freelance work on the pc when we got home, so it took quite a while before I could take a good look at my pics on the screen. I then took quite a bit of time deciding which photo to Blip .... the flapping swan, the Grebe on the nest, the squirrel in the tree, or the gorgeous little Gosling? In the end, I decided to blip the shot that I reckoned all the others would have missed ... this cute little child playing in the park with her friends .... a sort of variation of two plastic cups and a piece of interconnecting string. Despite the rain, she and her friend definitely seemed to enjoy their secret conversation. How refreshing to see children enjoying the simple things in life.

Before we left, we enjoyed some cake together, courtesy of Tigger's better half, Mr T :-) (let's hear it for us men!) Then we were offered lots of free compost from the park ranger (excellent!!!!) before Velofor took us to a local pub, where apparently Queen Mary of Scots was led down some half price, period staircase from B&Q on her way to her own execution, before whipping out a sub machine gun and blasting her way to freedom ... or something like that (no doubt he will fill you in on the details).
