Barton

A day of glorious sunshine totally ignored by working at home (grading) apart from a brief leg-stretch with Connie-dog and Caroline late afternoon past all the usual places.

The building is Barton. An Ottoman house and veritable museum of C19th artifacts - a beautiful relic in wood where several teachers and their families now make their home.

That it was Mother's Day today filled my thoughts. Next Saturday marks the seventh year since losing her. Today was filled with joy and sadness simultaneously as I think about my childhood, my Mum and my loss.
