The Abyss

The heavy rain we had a week ago cut this channel in the snowbank in front of the house.  I like the abstract quality of it.  I've seen red squirrels use it as a sort of tunnel.  There'll be a lot more melting over the weekend with warm temperatures and more rain.  In fact, the whole coming week looks mild and rainy.  The annual January thaw is happening very early.
