Backyard early

Early this a.m. I looked out the bedroom window and saw an incredibly lighted scene. Jumped up, dropped two cats to the floor, grabbed the camera, pulled up the screen and took photos. Alas, forgot to set the lens... the last photos I took were close-ups. the citron coloured trees behind the dark evergreens were in the distance.
Nothing came out as I saw them or wanted to see them. This photo was just a toss off at the end and came out okay. Lesson learned.
If the sun is shining at 5:oo tomorrow a.m. I'll try again.
The lilac shrubs and trees are beginning to look their best.
