Bean and I have started 2023 with a two-walk-day. And she has supervised while I’ve been in the kitchen.

There is a new cheddar cheese pressing overnight.

Sheila, the sourdough mother, has been fed and will be ready to make dough in the morning.

There’s yoghurt brewing and a new batch of mayo in the fridge.

An organic chicken which I was given last week was roasted for a special dinner, eaten with freshly picked swede, beans and cauliflower.

I have begun the year as I intend to continue - for as many years as I am fit and able.
