Train ride

New Year's Eve is my eldest daughter's birthday.  So she and G had a day off to enjoy themselves in Birmingham.  Meanwhile, 4 grandparents had to entertain the boys.  We opted for a ride on the Severn Valley Railway up to Bridgnorth, but felt that doing both ways might be a bit long.  So W and I escorted them on the train, whilst J and R drove up to meet us.  The boys were exceptionally well behaved on the train.

We then had a short meander around Bridgnorth, where there are some lovely old buildings (1st extra), before driving back to Kidderminster.  When R and G got home, we enjoyed some birthday cupcakes (2nd extra).  3rd extra is a photo of the birthday girl.

All but one of the 8 of us were fast asleep well before midnight.
