Idiot Race

HNY to one and all!
Thanks to everyone who left stars and hearts yesterday, deeply appreciated.
A timely portrait of Burns, central Stirling. Apparently, he visited the Golden Lion Inn in 1787, and scratched a poem on one of the second floor windows (excerpt in extras). When he revisited later in the year, he was told it had caused offence, so he smashed the window pane. So the story goes.
'Who know them best,
Despise them most.'
No-one would write that nowadays about Scotland's ruling class, no sir. ;-)
