WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

What else to do…

…after a late New Year than to watch telly!
First Yurii and I watched LaLa Land, I fell asleep and missed the end.
Frank started watching another film while I was asleep and I woke up to watch the end of that one!
Then we watched Fawlty Towers - I never tire of that daft comedy
Now we are watching Marie Antoinette.

Last night was a great night. Frank entertained the punters in the pub for 3 hours, a mixture of Scottish, Irish and rock ‘n’ roll.
Everybody had a great time. We love our pub, they are the most hospitable hosts and everyone who goes there is so warm, caring and friendly. We are lucky to have such a great community.
Bella had a lovely time too as her ‘boyfriend’ Togo was there a big handsome Husky. They are great pals and do that daft pouncing at each other.
I managed to stay up till the bells too which is unusual for me.
At the stroke of midnight it was hugs all round then Auld Lang Syne.
Tonya and Yurii didn’t want to come as the Ukraine New Year was 2 hours ahead of ours and they wanted to spend the evening video calling family and friends - understandable after what has been going on over there. :-/

The morning started off lovely and sunny and T+Y took Bella for a long walk, they said the fields were flooded but we didn’t have any of that in our immediate vicinity. I know that many places further afield did. Floods are so awful and cause so much damage and upset.
Tomorrow Yurii is going to Wakefield with Frank to collect 2 wardrobes. Stuff is coming together, it’s great.

Right back to Marie Antoinette!
Goodnight All you lovely Blippers and lets hope and pray for a better year in 2023. :-) X

PS. I saw some of the celebrations around the world on the news and was very disappointed to see thousands of balloons being released into the air in China. Have people learnt nothing?
