Hoping for Hoopoes

Whenever Mike strims, hoopoes appear, pushing their beaks into the ground, and coming up with various bugs; it's an encouraging sign when they find them. But I never get close enough for a decent shot - this is through our window and heavily cropped, but decided to post, anyway.

Last night went well. We ended outside, bubbly and twelve raisins in hand (one wish for every raisin), watching three different firework shows, four if you looked backwards as well. When they all died down, the moon came out from the clouds, as well as stars and planets - a much longer lasting light show, and utterly silent.

Gratefuls:
- beautiful walk to church
- wonderful leftovers to eat today
- no need to go anywhere, still feeling rough

Oh, and U2 Grace, linked to by my brother, love it.
