Skelton Tower

Started the day with a slow joggle through the woods. Lots of families and dog walkers enjoying the brighter weather.

The tides were wrong for a trip to the coast so decided to opt for a moorland walk. Stephen joined us before he travels back to London tomorrow. With it being so wet we were cautious as to where we parked to avoid being bogged down.

No highland cattle we saw they had been relocated to a field on the top of the bank. Only sheep populated the moor today. Skelton Tower is a folly trying to give the impression of a ruined tower. It overlooks the North York Moors Railway and Levisham Moor escarpments in the distance. A good way to start the New Year.

Hope you all enjoyed the start to the New Year.
