PV roof

Late into the night the PV installers were scampering about over the timber frame installing the PV panels. They basically installed a series of extruded aluminium rails onto the wooden frame, and then slotted the panels into the railes. It creates a semi-transparent roof that is waterproof and should generate electricity. The system here uses micro-inverters rather than one larger inverter, but the result will be the same. We're hoping it will become operational in the new year and become grid connected ASAP - given the rising cost of electricity in France.

Back blip.
