From Grizedale Pike, looking towards Hopegill Head

and Grasmoor and Eel Crag. (I was careful composing the post within the post)

Best day of the year so far (lol), we drove to Braithwaite and walked the whole of the Coledale Horseshoe. 10.5 miles, but 3500 feet of climbing. Managed Grizedale Pike, Hopegill Head, Eel Crag, Sale and skirted round Outerside and Barrow. The extra is taken from Grizedale pike looking back towards Braithwaite, showing the Grizedale Pike ridge, the Skiddaw range, and on the right of the photo, Derwentwater and Catbells well below us.

A wonderful, but tiring day, the hills were really busy too - never seen so many on this route.
