What I've Done

On the way to Grey Knotts

The forecast was good for the morning - rain coming in around 1pm, so we thought we could manage Grey Knotts and Brandreth in Borrowdale before the rain came in.

How wrong we - and the forecasters - were.

Climbing up the steep from Honister quarry to Grey Knotts, we could see the mist and clouds approaching, by the time we'd got halfway to the top, the rain had moved in - pretty hard too.  Both it and Brandreth were totally engulfed in cloud, and the rain didn't ease off at all.

A very wet walk, but it does put my running total up to 152 / 214, only 62 to go! Just a couple of weeks of dry weather would be a real help.
