Goose again

Well, it's been a dreich old day today. (Thank you Scottish friends for giving me the right word for it.) James and I managed a bit of a walk and the goose was very keen to be fed as always. Some of the ducks and coots and moorhens came over for food too. We got rather damp on the way home but it could have been worse!

The other excitement today was the arrival of our mattress cover. It's on the new mattress now, and Neil and I have put our bedding on that bed, so tonight we get to try it out. Neil and I both lay on the bed as soon as we'd sorted it and it can't be too bad because neither of us wanted to move! We could still be there now if we hadn't wanted to eat lunch. Tonight we'll see how it holds up with a night's sleep.
