A Day In The Life

Boat Landing

Since I often talk about the Boat Landing today seemed a good day to post a picture of it • This boat launch is part of the waterfront park that’s located along the western bank of the Kennebec River in central Maine. The park isn’t just for boaters and kayakers, it also attracts walkers, sunbathers, fishing enthusiasts, photographers, dog walkers, nature lovers and picnickers. During the summer weekly concerts and car shows are scheduled. It’s also the site for the annual July 4 fireworks display, which neither of us like. Our sympathies are with wildlife, domestic pets, children and those suffering with PTSD • We walked there today under overcast skies. The river is running high from all of the recent rain so the actual boat launch is underwater, which you can see in the photo • Friends of ours sent us a sampling of nut snacks over the holidays. Their friends launched this online business last year. I’ve been taste testing today, and they’re very tasty. If interested, check out their website mostlynuts.com. Their packaging is 100% compostable too • Strumming went well today. Streets of Laredo nearly flawless with only two chords, Jamaican Farewell is almost there and more practice is needed on Amazing Grace • My instructor, Bert, is so repetitive, he keeps repeating the importance of repetition :) • Homemade Soup for dinner!
