The Scottish Everglades

We walked the other way this morning to the bigger of the two roadside lochs (although not beaver early). We arrived at this small sheltered loch and it felt like another planet. The trees were coated with fluffy-looking lichen which helped the other-worldly feeling. We’d been expecting to see more beaver evidence but we barely saw anything fresh. We've since learned that this loch was created by beavers.

With the weather closing in for the day, we continued along the road for a damp mooch, stopping briefly at another potential beaver site - nothing today.

That just left a cafe and an afternoon chilling out before tonight’s final episode of the final series of Better Call Saul - we’ve really enjoyed it.
