Marching on!

Looking at the forecast, today was the day for a day trip to the Isle of Bute. It looked rainy here and dry over there. It’s an easy drive and a regular 10 minute ferry journey.

Rich realised that Little Dog has visited more Scottish islands than he has so we’ve corrected that today.

After visiting the Victorian museum toilets in Rothesay (the women’s is a let down but peek into the gents!), we had a lovely walk on Ettrick Bay and a chat with a fisherman digging for worms in the sand. A cafe pitstop for Rich and Little Dog and a drive over to Kilchattan Bay which brought back lovely memories of the harbour porpoises I saw there in 2019.

Then we simply meandered back for our last evening.
