Campo de Color (Color Field) by Sonia Falcone

We visited Nevada Museum of Art in Reno today. My favorite exhibit was a room size multi-sensory art experience by Bolivian artist Sonia Falcone.  She spent over a year acquiring spices from around the world before she first installed Campo de Color at the Venice Biennale in 2013.  There are over 25 different spices, including anise, cloves, chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, curry, ginger, mint, oregano, paprika, salt and wasabi.  The colors were bright and the scent uplifting.
