Tynemouth

We parked the car at Tynemouth and walked (some of it on the beach) to Cullercoats.  We had a lovely lunch (scrambled eggs on muffin for me and a sausage sandwich for Mr YB) and then walked back to Tynemouth and had a look around the village - 5.2 miles in all.

A bitterly cold day but it was lovely and bright and it was very good to be out and about.

The statue in the photo is of Vice Admiral Lord Collingwood who was second in command to Admiral Lord Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar.  Lord Collingwood was from Newcastle upon Tyne.  From where he is situated, he has a fantastic view over the River Tyne.

I hope you are having a good weekend.  Apologies once again for lack of comments.
