Derwentwater-bound

After all the road-running exploits last year, I fancied a slightly different challenge for the early part of 2023 ... so we've entered the Derwentwater Dawdle, which takes place at the end of this coming April :-)

We randomly came across this event, when we were down in The Lakes last year, and it did look like a classic walk/fell-run ... so, the entries are in, and the accommodation is now booked! What could possibly go wrong?

Snap is of my new (Christmas-present); Altra trail-shoes ... they are already being put through their paces, and were up-and-over the nearby, Easter Craiglockhart Hill earlier this morning :-))
