Foraging

We are looking to reinforce the bank of our hedge again, and fallen branches will do the trick, we think.  So off we went in our wellies, squelching through the mud on Common Lane.  Here Mrs B is striding purposefully up Woodfold Hill, the sun casting shadows from the left and a blue sky outlining the ancient trees on the hill.

I think that Common Lane is ancient, part of Harrow Way, and some of it is a holloway, I believe, sunk relative to the trees and banks on either side through centuries of use.  It was a cold breeze that accompanied us on this walk, but the air was clear and the environment peaceful and beautiful.
