Well seasoned

To accompany our Sunday roast we enjoy roast vegetables. The pot contains sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, red pepper, courgette, baby sweet corn, garlic, parsnip and turnip. They are moistened with oil and seasoned with salt, copious amounts of freshly ground black pepper and a large teaspoonful of garam masala powder. They cook alongside the joint for nearly an hour by which time they have softened into a tasty addition to the meal.
We have had a clear sunny day but realised how lucky we have been when I heard from my sister in Somerset how they have endless wet days and floods.
