A Fahrenheit Life

A delayed start to the morning left us running behind a bit for the rest of the day. However, back to our host's Vocational Training Centre first thing for the last few presentations accompanied by gifts, cakes, coffees, teas, juice and sweeties galore before we were treated to lunch. This shot was taken from a building nearby to give a flavour of the landscape of parts of Anakara - a huge, industrial city with 5m inhabitants. You can maybe see from this shot that there is a lot of open space with lots of largely unfinished construction work going on. Mostly high rise living accommodation.

Hard to explain but very impressive.

From the headquarters we went on to visit Osiad, Ostim's Industrial and Businessmen (wouldn't get away with that in the UK) Association. A bit like our Federation of Small Businesses, I surmise.

A really overcast and wet day and still raining in the evening when we went out for dinner - just incase we were starting to think that we might be getting a bit peckish - for traditional Turkish kebabs. No alcohol still but, apart from tea, have taken a notion for Ayran a sort of watered down yogurt drink. Who'd have thought...
