Portlandia and the Light Festival

Portlandia is a sculpture high on a building in downtown Portland. She looms over the sidewalk in a blessing sort of way, and today I was downtown on my way to Sue's house and caught the lights in a particularly lovely moment at dusk. The trees have been dressed in lights because of the Light Festival coming at the beginning of February.

Sue's sister and brother-in-law are visiting from Sacramento, fresh from floods and loss of electricity that lasted for a week. Climate change noted.
