Feeling Younger

Before anyone asks, no it isn't my reflection.

Not to be confused with the Lewis Carroll poem, this 'Father William' is the trade mark of William Younger's the Edinburgh brewery, founded by Archibald Campbell Younger in 1778. 'Father William' made his debut in the late 1920s and in this example he is holding a 'straight' glass probably containing Pale Ale and branded by Younger's as 'Scotch Ale' Younger's merged with McEwan's in 1931 and are now Scottish Brewers Ltd. Father William certainly looks good on it for someone who is in his early 90s with a drink problem.
