Aurora Point Lighthouse

Well here it is at last….my finished Lego Lighthouse.

It has a motorised lamp - which has a miniature plastic Fresnel lens so that as it rotates it appears to ‘flash’.

To photograph it, I set it up against a black backdrop and took a shot with the speed light on. Then without moving the camera or model I then took a second shot in the dark as the light shone towards me. The two shots were then combined in Photoshop - removing bits of the main shot so that the lamp shows up.

As well as the two little figures there is a cat (on the boat), a seagull (on the rocks far left) and a bat - hanging upside down inside the cave on the right :-)

There is also a little ‘fire’ in the cottage - you can just about make out an orange glow in the right hand window, and a small reflection through the open door.
