A Sunny Day!!

I was outside almost all day! First, an ocean walk in the morning. I was able to keep up with the group, which made me very happy. The rest of the day I was out in the yard, tidying up after some minor flooding, and then back to rose pruning and weeding. Noticing the way the debris is scattered around makes me think the water must have been pretty deep over the whole back yard. The wood chips that we use as mulch and pathway material arranged themselves in new places; some paths are bare now, and others are thick with bark. The little laundry shed had a wet floor that happily dried out over the afternoon. These are little things we have to deal with, but nothing like the folks who are shoveling mud out of their living rooms. I'm grateful our storm problems are inconveniences, not game changers.

The flower is a Hellebore, aka Christmas rose, one of the few things in bloom right now.
