Lobster Pots and a Waistcoat

M has a rather nice moleskin fabric waistcoat that his daughters had bought for him but it's just a tad too snug a fit... so, via our wonderful little sewing shop in Holt we've found a lady in Weybourne who is going to alter it for him, so we dropped it off to her this morning.

The road where this lady lives is a smart looking close of residential bungalows but, unusually, standing next to the pavement is a huge pile of lobster pots.  Many of you will know that Weybourne is on the coast so really not that surprising, they just looked rather out of place where they were stored, but just perfect for a very quick blip on a very cold morning.  The road between Holt and Weybourne was extremely icy!

Just in case anyone is interested, the lobster pot was invented in 1808 by Ebenezer Thorndike of Swampscott, Massachusetts.
