Goodbye Dot

We passed a quiet morning and, after lunch, I walked down to the village to be picked up by Kath and Helen en route to Dot's funeral.  It was a service befitting the wonderful and funny woman she was and also testament to her that the Crematorium was full.  We learned that in her early life she was a clippy and also drove a butcher's van.  We heard that one year when their boys were young, Dot forgot to get a Christmas tree and so the ironing board was decorated which started a family tradition of alternative trees!

Several old friends of ours attended including JeanneB53 and, as always is the case at funerals, there was much catching up, sharing of Dot stories and laughter.

Sleep well Dot.
