These are the workings of our inherited family 250 year old longcase kitchen clock. The mechanism broke some months back and a friend who knows these things came round to look at it today.

Unfortunately the main problem requires a specialist tool to fix so we will have to take it to a clock expert. At least we know the problem. It will be good to get it back working again.
