Queen Vic

There was a biting cold wind today and the sun eventually became shrouded in cloud. It made the silhouette of the young Queen Victoria stand out even more atop the Royal Scottish Academy.

Statues of Victoria in youth or old age are still almost instantly recognisable over 100 years after her death. It made me wonder if, in 100 years time, the same might be said by the generation then of HM Queen Elizabeth. I suspect there will be far fewer statues around!

There might be more of a chance if they renamed the pub in Eastenders, not that I have ever watched it (or Coronation Street).
