Mixed bag today: discovered an old friend had developed breast cancer - but she's received very prompt surgery and the prognosis is good. Round of applause for the NHS please.

Otherwise it was a decent day: good blether with another pal, and received an incremental pay-rise now that I'm a permanent member of staff.
