Escorting the juveniles

A quiet day. Doing things in the yard and organised the garage to better utilise the space, given that it is currently a storeroomwhile we continue (slowly) with various works being planned.

Late afternoon walk in bright and warm sunshine. These mallards were treating the road sensibly, walking mostly on the grass verge and only occasionally using the roadway.

They were much more sensible than the drivers of a series of cars being driven with maximum engine noise achieved in part by high acceleration followed very quickly by hard braking due to the short distances between quite sharp corners. Four went past in close convoy as I was nearing the end of my walk.
