Glowering

I popped out in the late afternoon in bright sunshine, but as I drove down the avenue des platanes I wondered whether it was entirely wise. The clouds were extremely menacing, and while the thermometer told me it was 5C, the wind disagreed. I stopped at a passing place and quickly snapped this to minimise my time out of the car. The light was really very dramatic, and look large to see the illuminated pylons! Pity I was dissuaded from seeking a better vantage point.

Very surprisingly I only encountered a few spots of rain, and it's not snowing (yet). Hunkering down with a book again (Francis Spufford's Light Perpetual). Today's soundtrack: Jan Garbarek and the Hilliard Ensemble.
