Sunrise

Up early today and I can confidently say that the morning was easily the best bit of the day. Dropped P off for an early train to town, then was volunteering at the Foodbank again at 10.  I didn't fancy driving home and then out to Hamilton again, so I went for a wander to try and blip the sunrise  instead.

I missed the best beit of the sunrise when the whole sky when a blotchy pink and purple, but it was still pretty good along the Avon, wasn't sure whether to use this of one of the wide river where the Clyde and Avon meet, but this one had better colours.  Finished the walk with a quick loop round the old stomping grouns of Chatelherault.  Needed some fuel before the shift at the foodbank so grabbed a cheese and pesto roll from the Cadzow Bakehouse, plus a spiced apple roll for tomorrow morning, and a slice of cheese and onion quicher for an easy tea.  Shouldn't go in that place, it's deadly.

Foodbank shift was fun, met a couple of new volunteers and talked about hiking, map reading and Scottish independence in a very civilised fashion.  All whilst trying to figure out the appropriate age ranges of different toys and books that had been donated to bag up.

The rest of the afternoon had been food shopping and cleaning the house.  Think I'm going to treat myself to a bath.
