Here we go again!

Orsay - Porte de l'enfer

Early morning so that we could see T off. I was 4th in line for the bakery when it opened at 7am but, sadly, it was too early to get a roulée aux pistaches, our bakery's week-end special. T made it to CDG quickly and even had an empty seat next to her on the plane. She should be landing soon and we already miss her a lot.

J and I decided to go to Orsay to catch the Edvard Munch show before it closes tomorrow. A lot of other people had the same idea so it was quite crowded but was a very good show. I also wanted to take some time to see the new presentation of the plaster of Rodin's Gates of Hell at Orsay. It was cleaned and reinstalled in the spring of 2022 so that it now faces the big clock in the centre of the Museum. This story (in French) explains the changes a bit more. You can spot J and the Gates of Hell in this photo if you look closely. J really enjoyed seeing the art deco furniture rooms and the Pompon animal statues (see extra for the "Ours blanc").

Then we did a grocery shop and worked and dozed a bit this afternoon.
