Life through the lens...

A chilly winter’s day

A lovely sunrise, but we haven’t seen the sun since.
Very frosty morning, but decided to walk up to the farm as I had run out of eggs.
We met a friend we haven’t seen for a while.
Used to go to the same youth club 60 years ago! She had seen another old friend and we are all going to meet up later. Delayed our walk by 30mins but very enjoyable chat, and laughter.

Photo taken from the farm looking across the fields. You can actually see the chimney of our house. ( Look to the left of the three big chimneys near the centre of the photo and you may just see a smaller chimney to the right a group of trees. Our small cottage adjoins the big house.)

This afternoon had a nice long chat with granddaughter Jennie. So interesting to learn about how she is doing at Uni. Especially with the teaching as an Assistant Lecturer, along with helping at the charity and doing her masters degree. She is certainly keeping busy but enjoying it.
Just sent a photo of some scones she has baked for a Cornish cream tea. They look yummy.

I have made a steak and kidney pudding for tea which is steaming away at the moment.
Rhubarb and orange flan for afters. First forced rhubarb of the new season.
Certainly looking forward to that.
Then Happy Valley !
