Cooper’s Hawk

This is a first for us! I’ve surely seen one but just classified it as a hawk. This guy was patrolling a mostly dry lake’s edge. Apparently they stalk and eat small birds, catching them while in the air. He’s beautiful, but I am glad he’s not in our yard!
We had a good day. Johnny had a routine doc appt. Tuesday, I go to have the botched root canal redone. It seems medical visits fill our time!
