Colourful coats

Yoga this evening, so we planned our main meal for lunchtime - shepherd's pie with veg. MrM offered to cook while I did a few chores. The pie was in the oven and the veg cooking on the hob when the phone rang. The estate agent - 'we have a couple in the office who would like to view your property'. 'When would they like to come?' 'Could they possibly come now, they need to leave for home soon?'.

The walk to the flat from the estate agents takes at least 2 minutes! Cooking was paused, we dashed around  tidying things away, and while MrM showed them the workshop, I 'spruced up' the bathroom. The viewers were very nice and very apologetic at the short notice, but their house isn't on the market yet, and gave no indication of how interested they are in the flat...

Cooking resumed, and MrM hadn't realised how little water there was in the pan containing the sprouts. You can guess the rest - inedible veg., blackened pan, and the smell of burned sprouts pervading the flat! Thank goodness for frozen peas.

After a very late lunch we abandoned the washing up for a while, and went for a late-afternoon walk - the Humbleton round. The horses in the field at the start of the walk were wearing their coats.
Home just in time to get ready for yoga.
