25th January

Today is the day that we celebrate the birth of Robert Burns
It is a tradition to eat haggis on this day and so here is Joe with a few that he flushed out from under the heather. ( Hugo is no use at this at he tries to eat them)
The males tend to be larger and have blue noses while the females have yellow noses.
These ones are safe from us at least, as we don’t eat meat, so we will release them back into the garden.
Here’s a verse from “To A Haggis”

“Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
As lang's my arm.”
