Stagnation

A & I are finding our small number of walking routes a little monotonous, we’ve been stuck in a rut! so today for a change at Harewood we parked at the Muddy Boots cafe in the village, set off westwards downhill toward the Deer Park, walking into a strong cold breeze.

A diversion from the main track was rewarded when we came across a small herd of Red Deer chilling in the woods.

We also saw a Black Pig, Red Kites (10-a-penny), a Jay, a Nuthatch, and a small flock of Great Tits.

We retraced our steps back up the hill (wind assisted) to the car (2.9 miles) rather than walk the circuit (4.7 miles) of the Estate.

We felt invigorated!
