Corve Gate

Corve Gate (main) is the modern day site of the actual Corve Gate, one of seven gated entrances to the medieval town of Ludlow. The sites of the others can be traced from a map of the walled town which incorporated the magnificent Ludlow Castle. Only one gate remains, and that is Broad Gate, seen in my blip on 6th Oct 2022.

I am on a journey of exploration in and around this ancient town. It is utterly wonderful.

The extra is a shot of the west window in the porch of St Laurence's Church. Often referred to as the cathedral of the Marches, St Laurence's is magnificent. I will be posting more on this when time allows for more detailed examination.

Thanks to everyone who has commented recently, especially thankful for hearts 'n' stars. Much appreciated!
