Beetroot sauce.....

It is in fact beetroot, cauliflower, onion and garlic sauce for pasta. I added chunky mushrooms and it was all very delicious. I did take a photo of the finished  article but it didn't look appetising despite tasting exceedingly yummy! Apart from concocting dinner a greater part of the rest of the day was taken up with matting. The heating was working properly in the hall today so we had a splendid afternoon including a general meeting to discuss a few things. There was much sorting of 'clippies' as the bags have been neglected for some months. We now have a semblance of order and a greater knowledge of what is in the many bags. It was a satisfying couple of hours.
There were 9 of us there, with just 3 absentees. Lizzie brought scones with jam and cream! 
This evening I have completed the crochet for a cat blanket and will get it sewn together tomorrow, ready for posting.
