Quod oculus meus videt

Graffiti Art, Birmingham

A walking day, with a major contrast in comparison to last week's walk in the Shropshire Hills.  Today we walked into Birmingham along the Tame Valley, Grand Union and Birmingham & Fazeley Canals.  The route takes you passed the Alexander Stadium (scene of the Commonwealth Games), under Spaghetti Junction and then between the tall buildings of Birmingham before reaching the Gas Street Basin.

13 miles in total, over good paths throughout, allowing us to maintain a fast pace. A good blow out.

Grafitti has developed over recent years.  This example was under one of the road bridges near Star City.  The Canals and Rivers Trust even provide boards along some sections for the artists to use.
